Baby Room: (3 months – 2 Years)
Our Baby Room caters for children aged 3 months to 2 years.
We can take up to 15 children on a 1:3 ratio so you can be rest assured that your little one will get lots of the essential attention that they need at this age. We have a large, bright open plan room with a wide range of toys and equipment available for the children, including a role play area, sand and water play, a cosy reading area, sensory toys, musical instruments, climbing gyms and lots lots more!! There is purpose built garden, solely for the use of the babies and younger children, to ensure they are able play outside safely and securely. There is a separate sleep area too, which allows children to snuggle up and rest/sleep in the comfort of either a cot or bed. Within the room there is also a kitchen where staff can prepare children’s bottles throughout the day.
Toddler Room: (2 Years – 2.5 Years)
Our Toddler Room caters for children aged 2 years to 2.5 years. We can take up to 12 children in this room on a 1:3 ratio. The Toddler Room is a large, bright open plan room with a wide range of toys and equipment available to the children, including a role play area, cozy reading garden, sand and water play, an arts and crafts area, and lots, lots more! The Toddler Room also has a lovely outdoor decked area which is used daily as part of their free flow play, enabling the children to play both indoors and outside. There is direct access into the main garden area which is a fantastic space for children to play, explore, and investigate their natural surroundings.
Mini Pre School: (2.5 Years – 3 Years)
Our Mini Pre School group caters for children aged 2.5 years – 3 years. Within this group we can take up to 16 children on a 1:4 ratio.
Upper Pre School: (3 years – 5 years)
Our Upper Pre School caters to children aged 3-5 years and within this group, we can take up to 16 children on a 1:8 ratio.
Both the Mini Pre School and Upper Pre School
share the same room but activities are planned and structured more in accordance to age taking into account the older children who will make the transition from nursery to school.
The Pre School Room is a large, bright, open-plan space with a wide range of toys and equipment available to the children, some of which include a role play area, sand and water play, reading garden, maths, and literacy area.
We also have an educational room where children have access to ICT equipment and complete school readiness activities and tasks.
The Pre School Room has access to the main garden area too and also spends time growing plants and vegetables in our growing area.
We have amazing kitchen facilities on-site at the nursery and our nursery chefs, Barbara and Emma prepare and cook all of the meals and snacks for the children, fresh on the day. We have a 3-week menu which is rotated, to ensure children have a wide variety of balanced, nutritious meals. We also have a summer and winter menu. Dietary requirements and food allergies can be accommodated.
We have amazing outdoor facilities for all of the children to play and explore in. Including a mud kitchen, large walk-in sandpit, and a woodland area with a hideaway house! The children have a large soft surface to ride their bikes and scooters on, as well as a large grassed area to play on too. There is a vast range of outdoor toys and equipment available for the children to use including jumbo building blocks, balancing beams, balls, hoops, bikes, trikes, scooters, water and sand toys, tabletop activities and lots lots more! As well as lots of outdoor play and learning, the staff and children will often have lunch alfresco style and enjoy picnic teas in the garden! There is also a separate area for the children to plant and grow their very own vegetables!
All our children get the opportunity to go on local educational trips, and whether it be to the local shops or places of interest, we always risk assess our outings and ensure that ratios are adhered to.
We also invite the local businesses and the emergency services to come in and talk to the children about safety awareness and their community.
