Hello. We are Vikki and Lesley and we are the owners of Monkey Puzzle Eltham

All of the staff here are eager to give every child the opportunity to shine. We encourage the children in their play while learning and being part of a caring and nurturing setting. We are dedicated to looking after your children and offer support to care givers and parents, as your feedback is so important to us.

Outdoor learning is at the heart of life at Eltham. Our extensive garden features impact-absorbing safety surfacing, a large sandpit, bikes and scooters, balancing equipment, a mud kitchen and even a woodland hideaway. Children enjoy free-flow access to outdoor spaces, alfresco lunches and regular outings to local parks, all carefully risk assessed for safety. By blending structured learning with real-world exploration, we help children build confidence, independence and a lifelong love of discovery.

Freshly Prepared, Nutritious and Inclusive

All meals and snacks are freshly prepared on-site by our dedicated nursery chefs, using rotating seasonal menus to ensure variety and balanced nutrition. Dietary needs and allergies are carefully catered for, and children even grow their own fruits and vegetables in our garden, from strawberries to pumpkins. With nappies, wipes and creams included in our fees, we provide a fully inclusive experience designed to make life easier for busy families.

We provide outstanding care tailored to each stage of early childhood, with carefully maintained staff ratios including 1:3 for babies and toddlers. Our bright, open-plan Baby Room includes a separate sleep space and purpose-built garden exclusively for younger children, ensuring safety, comfort and individual attention. Every child benefits from a dedicated Key Person who builds strong bonds, supports emotional wellbeing and works closely with parents to create a truly nurturing start.

Healthy Eating

As children grow, a healthy and balanced diet is key, and we inspire with a variety of colour, texture, and taste to expand their food experiences.

Seasonal and local produce are also important in helping children understand more about where food comes from and nutrition.
